EXPERIENCE AND AWARDS

August 2019 - Present

GRINNELL SCIENCE PROJECT SA

Th Grinnell Science Project Student Assistants help keep GSP running smoothly. As an SA, I help plan events, test out ideas, and discuss problems with last year's programming. Most importantly, I serve as a mentor to first-year GSP students who are underrepresented in the sciences and just getting their feet wet with college life. During the academic year, I continue to help set up GSP events and I'm also a familiar face for the first-years.

GLOBAL LEARNING PROGRAM

Selected as one of fourteen first-years in the Global Medicinals class, which involved studying Kampo, a Japanese herbal medicinal system, as well as European herbalist practices. The class culminated in week-long trips to Japan and the U.K. where we visited university campuses, traditional pharmacies, and some wonderful performance groups.
